LAYTON — A woman and two children are safe and police have two suspects in custody after a standoff in a Layton apartment Tuesday.
Layton Police announced on Twitter around 5:44 p.m. Tuesday that they arrested Hayden Woods, 20, and Mitchell Tarbox, 29, after a lengthy standoff in an apartment.
Earlier in the day, Layton Police responded to a reported aggravated robbery where, apparently, a classified ad purchase led to a robbery.
LPD said in a tweet that one suspect was confined to an apartment and was not cooperating with police. Two children and a woman were in the apartment during the standoff and were escorted out after some time by police, LPD tweeted.
Police did not say where the apartment is located, but a media staging area is listed as 220 North Fairfield Road in Layton.
