O. Pauline Morris Carter, was born August 29, 1919, in Seneca, Nebraska, the youngest of seven children born to Louis and Olive Morris. She passed peacefully in her sleep, at the age 98, on January 8, 2018.

She is survived by her daughter, Lynnette (Ferrell) of Layton, UT; Stephanie (Carter-Nielsen) of Centerville; and son-in-law, Joe (Oberlander) of Ogden, UT; also survived by five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her son, Gary; daughter, Paulette; and g1andson, Alex.

A woman of the Prairie she was raised in a sod home and schooled in a one room school house. She later taught in a rural Nebraska, (riding a horse seven miles to teach) as well as Provo, Tintic, Granite and Davis school districts. A graduate of BYU in special education, she loved working with children. She was well traveled and enjoyed the company of her friends.

Graveside services to be held at the Evergreen Cemetery, Springville, Utah, Saturday, January 13, at 1 p.m.
